about us
Heritage & Education gGmbH is a non-profit organization based in Berlin, Germany, dedicated to bridging the gap between World Heritage and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). We collaborate with World Heritage sites, local communities, as well as educational and research institutes to create engaging, self-paced e-learning resources for young learners aged 9-16.
It aims to empower them not only to become active stewards of cultural and natural heritage but also to explore sustainability themes through heritage-based and nature-based approach in the real world. World Heritage sites serve as “Global Observatories” and “Living Laboratories”, offering immersive learning experiences that inspire students to know, cherish, and act—paving the way for a more sustainable future.
